The Communications Coordinator for Youth Programs reports directly to the department head and is responsible for planning, coordinating, and disseminating information about youthfocused programs, including employment programs, community services, events, and opportunities. The position involves creating and managing communications strategies through multiple channels, including websites, promotional materials, newsletters, social media, and mass communications. The incumbent may also serve as a liaison between the program and external stakeholders, promoting engagement and awareness. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals with excellent communication skills and a passion for empowering youth. 

The SYEP Summer Employment Coach position is seasonal. Coaches will work independently and collaboratively with our various partners and have a solid connection with our youth. Conflict resolution skills are a must. The ideal candidate(s) will possess excellent management, communication, organizational, administrative, and time management skills.  Candidates must be able to work independently within the scope of the program’s needs. Coaches must understand the importance of the program and be fully committed to its success. 

The Administrative Assistant for the Youth Opportunity Office is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the staff managing the logistical and planning aspects of the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP), School Year Employment Program (YEP), and MSBK Out-of-School Youth Program. This role involves coordinating behind-the-scenes activities, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth operations to meet program goals. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. 

The Enrichment Coordinator for Youth Employment Programs reports directly to the department head and is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering enrichment activities for participants in the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP).  The position involves partnering with local organizations to create impactful programming, supporting participants' personal and professional development, and ensuring that enrichment activities are engaging, inclusive, and aligned with program goals. The incumbent also serves as a liaison between the program and community partners, working to provide a well-rounded experience for youth participants.
