The City of Albany is seeking an Equipment Operator 1 – Lots Crew. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating various vehicles and equipment related to forestry, maintenance of street and water delivery systems, as well other related tasks. This includes operating dump trucks to transport construction materials, assist in hauling snow and salting roads during the winter, distributing materials from storage to various locations across the city, as well as maintaining and servicing trucks. 

The position also presents an opportunity to manage a small team working with vehicles.

As a Sanitation Equipment Operator you'll drive and operate a recycler/sanitation truck to collect and dispose of solid waste and recyclable commodities. Operators are responsible for the routine maintenance of equipment and may be required to perform related physical labor

Safely operate/drive a recycler/sanitation truck on an assigned route according to an established schedule to collect refuse, recyclables and yard waste.
