As an automotive mechanic you will be tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of the city’s fleet of automotive equipment and machinery. 

Responsibilities include the repair of a variety of vehicles, incl. trucks, tractors, bulldozers, and more, as well as general maintenance work and preventative care to prolong the functionality of vehicles and machines. 

Additionally, the Automotive Mechanic may perform minor administrative tasks, such as record keeping and updating information systems, and exercise supervisory functions over automotive mechanic helpers.

This position plans, schedules, organizes, directs and evaluates the work performed in the construction, maintenance and repairs of the City’s infrastructure in one or more divisions within the Department of General Services.
