As the driving force behind our efforts to prevent violence, you'll be at the forefront of shaping and implementing a comprehensive program outlined in the Equity Agenda (Chapter 183 of the Code of the City of Albany). Your administrative skills will be the catalyst for positive change, all under the supportive supervision of the Common Council’s President Pro Tempore and the Clerk of the Council. In this role, you'll engage with the community by participating in Violence Prevention Task Force meetings and contributing to the discussions at Public Safety Committee meetings. A. Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Master’s Degree (or higher) in Public Health, Social Work, Criminal Justice, Public Policy, or a closely related field; OR
B. Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Social Work, Criminal Justice, Public Policy, or a closely related field; and two (2) years of experience in a human services field; OR
C. An equivalent combination of training and experience defined by the limits of (A) through (B) above.
