Under the direction of the Department Head, the Chief of Staff will be the primary staff person in charge of internal affairs for the office. The incumbent directly supervises office staff and oversees the daily schedule for the City Auditor and designee(s). The Chief of Staff works closely with the City Auditor and other Executive Staff to develop and implement policies and initiatives.

A. Graduation from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or university or one accredited by the NYS Board of Regents to grant degrees with a Master’s Degree (or higher) in Public Policy, Public Administration or a related field and two (2) years of progressive experience in policy development and implementation; OR
B. Graduation from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or university or one accredited by the NYS Board of Regents to grant degrees with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Policy, Public Administration or a related field and three (3) years of progressive experience in policy development and implementation; OR
C. An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.
